NILES ANTIQUE FAIRE RECAP

SUNDAY, AUGUST 29

What a day it was!! Thank you, vendors, volunteers, and visitors for making the 57th Annual Niles Antique Faire and Flea Market such a success!! Even though the event was scaled back due to Covid-related health and safety precautions, you all made the day very special coming out of the pandemic. Thank you!!

There were 100+ vendors selling everything from collectible toys, vintage home decor, furniture, food, to accessories, hand-made art, crafts jewelry, plants, and plenty of tchotchkes to keep visitors on a treasure hunt the entire day. We thank all the vendors for their patience and support throughout the event. We know there were several places where we could have done better and your feedback is very important for us to get it right the next time. Want to share feedback or make a suggestion? Please take our quick survey by clicking on the button below to let us know how we did or how we could do better the next time.

We couldn't have done it without dozens of selfless volunteers who generously donated their time and energy helping us out from the wee hours of Sunday all the way until the end of the event.

Thanks to the security and event management resources provided by the City of Fremont there were no untoward incidents reported at the event and the it all ran as smooth a baby's bum.

Special thanks to the following sponsors for providing financial help/free services for the event.

It was a bit warm but a beautiful day to be in Niles on Aug. 29. Below you will find some moments captured throughout the day:

Concert in the park

Another one of the fun events sponsored by NMSA, is coming back to Niles!! Come, enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon in the park listening to vibrating music by The Collective and other great bands. Set against the backdrop of beautiful hills, in the open air, and green grassy lawn, this concert may be the best family event of 2021 for which you pay a whopping $0.

Many local restaurants around to soothe your hunger pangs and quench your thirst so that you don't get hangry at your kids, while several kids-related activities such as balloon-twisting, sack races, and others will be organized to keep your kids out of your hair.

Set your Siri, Alexa, or whatever kind of reminder you need to, because this is a single-day event and NOT a series, so if you miss this one, you may have to wait for all of 365 days!

PINK FLAMINGO GOLF TOURNAMENT

SPOTLIGHT ON NILES

We are toying with the idea of creating a series called, Spotlight on Niles, where each month we aim to shine the light on a local small business located in Niles. We are starting the series with a spotlight on Joe's Corner, a local watering hole.

Almost a century old, Joe's Corner used to be the stomping grounds of the likes of Bronco Billy. Now, Joe's Corner has become a favorite hangout of the locals and tourists looking for some great craft beers and chill vibes. We spoke to the owner, Neelam Chakrabarty to find out more about their offerings. You can watch the video of the interview by clicking on the button below.

Thanks to Elizabeth Ellison from Elizabeth Ellison Realty for doing all the legwork to shoot and edit this beautiful video.

Want to be in the Spotlight? Message us at info@niles.org.

Must be an NMSA business member to be featured in the Spotlight. Not a member yet? You can join here.
