About the Board

  • I am a twenty-year resident of Niles who joined the Board of the Niles Main Street Association in 2021.

Immediately rising to the role of the Vice President, I jumped in with both feet to help bring back the great events that Niles is known for. Prior to joining the board, I supported events around Niles since moving here. I was an active volunteer with the Niles Holiday Home Tour, Niles Altar Walk, Niles Antique Faire, Spring Fever and Hot August Niles Car Shows, Niles Town Plaza Concert Series, Co-Chaired the Niles Festival of Lights Parade, and many more. Owning a successful event management company, I understand how to bring people together for fun and unique experiences.

Currently my husband Rene and I have taken on the Solon Brothers Service Station at the entrance to Niles, and have converted it into what is now known as the Niles Flying A. We are working hard to restore this classic site and celebrate the history of car culture in Niles. Our efforts could not be done without the support and involvement of many in the Niles community.

Even though we are surrounded by large cities, Niles feels like the small town I grew up in back east where all my neighbors knew each other. I love being a part of this community where we all work and play together to keep Niles fun and safe for everyone.

  • I have spent my entire life in Niles, serving the community and organizing events such as the two car shows and the Niles Thanksgiving Parade. I own Mills Mechanical and the several antique cars that you see parked in front of the stores on the weekend. I love everything and anything antique.

Recently, I along with other members of the community brought and renovated an old garage into what is today called ‘Niles Flying A’, at the North entrance of Niles Blvd. I have been part of the Niles Main Street Association since Niles Merchants Association merged with NMSA in 2021.

  • I am a California native and a business owner in Niles. I have been on the board of Niles Main Street since 2014 and have served as a Treasurer since 2016. Want to contribute my time and talents to the benefit of Niles and its community.

  • I am a longtime resident of Niles. I opened “Keith’s Collectibles” in 2006, and my second store, “American Trading Post”, in 2015.

Laurel Wallace and I have coordinated the Niles Antique Faire and Flea Market for the past 12 years.

I have been a member of NMSA (Niles Main Street Association) for almost 20 years, having served on the Board for most of that time.

I am a lifetime member of NMSA, the Niles Silent Film Museum, as well as the Pacific Locomotive Association (PLA).

Keith’s Collectibles and the American Trading Post are two iconic shops along Main Street, offering antiques and collectibles. I am an very active member of the community, and take great pride in living and working in Niles. From my humble beginnings in Alabama, I have enjoyed the sense of community and connection I found when I moved to Niles. I am a mainstay on Main Street, and am always ready with a friendly greeting when you visit my shops or see me around town.

  • My name is Carol Williamson. I was born in Niles and have lived in Fremont my whole life.

For the past 39 years I have owned MY FRIENDS AND I, an antique gift store and the building in Niles.

  • I live with my family on a small ranch in Niles Canyon, and am a part of ‘My Friends and I’ collective in town. This is my second year on the NMSA board. It has been a joy to see the Niles community come together and grow!

  • My name is Gwen Dossey. While I do not live in Niles, I am honored to be a member of Niles Main Street Association!

For the past 15 years, I have been a member of the Niles Dog Show committee and have been the chairperson for the past 10 years, except for 2020 and 2021, of course. My dogs and I walk in and around Niles at least once a week and feel a kinship to the town and the people that do live here!

I am lucky enough to be retired since 2019. My husband and I have been married for 36 years, we are currently on bassets #6, 7 and 8 we’ve lived in our home for the past 33 years. I am the Fundraising Coordinator for Golden Gate Basset Rescue as well as a member of their board of directors. I had volunteered at the Masonic Home from 2005 until Covid hit in 2020. I am looking forward to helping Niles Main Street Association (NMSA) in any way that I can to make our events memorable and fun!

  • My wife Danielle and I moved to Niles in 2009 from my hometown of Santa Cruz. We still live in our beloved little home on J street with an amazing community of neighbors that are more like family than we ever could have imagined.

Professionally, I spent over a decade working various roles in the auto industry, eventually ending up at Tesla where I stayed for nearly four years. In 2019, I left Tesla to take a Quality Program Management position at Google where I plan to stay long-term.

With so much change over the past 13 years, my wife and I have been really grateful for the amazing community of Niles that has always been a source of guidance and support.

In addition to my automotive career, I have always continued to pursue my passion as a drummer, working with several successful bands and as a tech/performer with Narada Michael Walden on gigs all over the western states and as far as Guam and Japan.

Within Niles, I have found a great group of talented folks to play music with and enjoy occasional gigs at the Mud Puddle, the Flying A, the Town Plaza, and a few neighborhood backyards.

As an active member of the Niles community, I am interested in joining the Main Street Board to provide a different perspective and find new ways to contribute to this amazing town.
