Neelam Chakrabarty

A recent Niles resident, I have lived in Fremont for the last 22 years. An engineer by education, I spent the last two decades working mostly in hi-tech for large corporations as well as operating my own startups. I have been actively involved in my community via my kids’ schools, Boys Scouts, and other community organizations. Four years ago my husband, Amit and I made Niles our second home as we took over the ownership of Joe’s Corner restaurant in Niles.

I love the history, the culture, and the tight-knit community of Niles which reminds me of the community back home in India where I grew up. I decided to further strengthen my ties with Niles by deciding to join NMSA.

When not working at Joe’s I am mostly gardening, taking pictures, hiking, painting, or working on NMSA website
