Christopher Costanzo is a Bay Area native that has been living in Niles since 2016. Chris is the father of two daughters who attend Niles Elementary and regularly volunteers and serves on the PTA. Chris has worked for local government since 2000 and spent 8 years as a Code Enforcement Officer and 12 years in the Park and Recreation field. Currently, he is the Grounds Superintendent for Hayward Area Recreation and Parks District (H.A.R.D.). Chris has served on neighborhood associations in Mountain View and San Jose, but none of those compare to the privilege to serve the Historic Niles community. Chris is also an active member and involved at Resonate Church of Fremont, Girls Scouts, and Niles Works. Chris’ love for history (and absurdity) of California led him to be a local Historian and Ex Noble Grand Humbug (XNGH) for E. Clampus Vitus 1850 Mountain Charlie Chapter. If you catch Chris in his free time, he will be gardening/urban farming; riding, racing, and working on bikes; or sipping on a beer at Joe’s Corner.
I love Fremont and I am a 26-year resident! I am a Husband and a Father! I own and operate Mantiques, an antique and collectible store here on Niles blvd for the last 10 years! I’ve lived in Niles Crest for 7 years and been a board member of NMSA for almost 5 years. I am personally focused on community service and bringing energy and attention to the wants and needs of Niles businesses and residents. I am honored to represent NMSA as vice president!

Elizabeth has lived in Niles since 1989. Both of her children attended Niles Elementary, where she was the President of the F.A.M.E. program. She loves sharing art and music with children. She is a Realtor at Keller Williams Realty and loves the process of helping people buy their dream homes or sell their current homes to move to their next chapter. She puts on the Annual Niles Clean Up Day (ANTCUD) and is very active in keeping the community clean and healthy, with a robust amount of events and participants as her yearly goal.
Diana Brumbaugh grew up close to Niles and returned in 2000 to teach science at her alma mater Washington High School. She has been a member of NMSA for over 10 years, and volunteers for many of its events. Diana loves the creative and tight-knit community of Niles, and wouldn’t live anywhere else. She knows that part of what makes Niles so special is the activities that NMSA puts on year after year. She is currently principal at Niles School.
Janet Camarena is a longtime Niles resident and has served on the NMSA board since 2017. As a board member she has helped with community events and operations including coordinating the Niles Open Studios tour, bringing live children’s theatre to the Plaza, Flamingo Golf, and the Concert Series. She has also helped with strategic planning and with securing sponsorships and foundation grants. By day, Janet is a nonprofit executive working as Senior Director of Candid Learning at Candid, offering capacity building training to nonprofits and donors alike. Locally, Janet also serves on the board of the Alameda County Library Foundation and Community Initiatives, and nationally she serves on the board of PEAK Grantmaking.
Neelam Chakrabarty, a recent Niles resident, has lived in Fremont for the last 22 years. An engineer by education, she spent the last two decades working mostly in hi-tech for large corporations as well as operating her own business. She has been actively involved in her community via her kids’ schools, Boys Scouts, and other community organizations. Four years ago she and her husband made Niles their second home as they took over the ownership of Joe’s Corner restaurant in Niles. She loves the history, the culture, and the tight-knit community of Niles which reminds her of the community back home in India where she grew up. She decided to further strengthen her ties with Niles by deciding to join NMSA. When not working at Joe’s she can be found gardening, taking pictures, or painting
