OPEN STUDIOS 2009

A delightful weekend touring artist’s studios in the Tri City
area with 39 artists and 14 locations featuring the work of a creative mix of painters,
sculptors, jewelers, photographers and works in other media.

Open Studios 2009 begins at the Fremont Art Association. Make sure to visit A+ Frames, Six Niles artists are exhibiting at the Bevans residence.

The large SP 2472 steam locomotive will be running two special trains on Saturday, MAY 23, and then four excursion trains on Monday, May 25.

IMPERSONATORS ROAMING THE STREETS: Look for Charlies all around Niles and on Sunday, riding the steam train!

LOOKALIKE CONTEST:
Come dressed like “the Tramp”or another movie star and win cash or a cool prize! All Ages! $75 1st Prize $50 2nd Prize $25 3rd Prize All entries get a Niles goodie!

CHARLIES EVERYWHERE! Look for hundreds of Charlies on display all throughout town in different antique stores, businesses & the silent film museum. Posters, pictures, lamps – you name it!

Play the “Find Charlie”Game: Go to a store with Charlie in the window to get a game card.

Festival of Lights Parade and Holiday Tree Lighting

Children's favorite storybook characters will be starring in the parade including Madeline, Winnie the Pooh and Corduroy Bear. Marching bands, floats, specialty units, the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees and of course the big star of the night, Santa Claus!
